Graphics Settings (Intel and AMD Users)

We highly recommend switching to the Vulkan API for optimal performance. To do this, navigate to Emulation > Configure > Graphics > API and select Vulkan. Also, ensure that your GPU drivers are updated to the latest version for the best experience.

Download Yuzu Emulator for Linux

Yuzu is now available as both an AppImage and a Flatpak! This makes it easier to run on older Linux distributions by simplifying the dependency requirements.

If you prefer the Flatpak version, you can grab it directly from Flathub.

To run Yuzu as an AppImage, follow these steps:

  1. Once that’s done, simply double-click the AppImage to launch Yuzu.
  2. Download the AppImage file.
  3. Make it executable by running this command in the terminal:

    chmod a+x yuzu-*.AppImage
  4. Alternatively, you can do this through the GUI: right-click the AppImage file, select Properties, navigate to Permissions, and check the box that says “Allow this file to run as a program.”
  5. Once that’s done, simply double-click the AppImage to launch Yuzu.
