Hey there, Mario Kart fans! If you’re as excited as I am about every Nintendo Switch release, this is something you’ll want to hear about. Nintendo made a huge splash with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild when the Switch launched.
Zelda became the kind of game that’s impossible to put down, and it’s no wonder so many jumped at the chance to play it. But one game, no matter how epic, can only keep us going for so long. And here’s where Nintendo answers the call with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, set to hit our consoles at the end of April.
Now, one hiccup we’ve all faced with the Switch is its limited onboard memory. Let’s face it: having to juggle memory space on any console can be a hassle, especially when we’re looking to stack our library with a bunch of must-haves.
The great news? Mario Kart 8 Deluxe won’t be demanding much room. According to Amazon Germany, it’ll only require a cool 6.75GB. So, if you’re already planning how to divide up your internal storage or that MicroSD, this bit of info is worth locking in.
This “Deluxe” version doesn’t just promise the original thrills of Mario Kart 8, but a bundle of fresh features and updates. From a reimagined battle mode to new characters like Splatoon’s Inklings and Dry Bones, the extra goodies still fit in that modest 6.75GB. It’s Nintendo, once again, keeping things tight without compromising on fun.
But hold on – if Nintendo decides to give us some DLC after launch, you might want to set aside a little extra space. New racers? Fresh tracks? The possibilities are exciting! But for now, there’s plenty to dive into, with all the classic Mushroom Kingdom racers and guest stars already revving up for the race.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is set to release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on April 28, 2017.
